I took my 13 year old brother to see it and he loved it. Older kids will appreciate that the dark, mystical tale doesn�t speak down to children, delving into psychological thrills and the depth of familial love. Yes the language is bad and is not anything kids in high school haven�t heard before, but it is excessive. The film is scary but the protagonist ghost casper is animated to look cute, which brings down the fright levels. They could struggle with reality. So, if you have a youngster who likes nothing more than to be on the edge of his or her seat, here is a list of films that hit the sweet spot for kids roughly ages 7 to 12.
